![]() And yeah, bigger animals should give more of everything. By the produce pod, I have 2 bear spawns, but you can lure them into the water and kill them with a knife while they're swimming at you-super easy. I hate polar bears! It's much harder to deal with bears in the arctic because there's very little you can do besides run or fight. I've sure learned a few things if I need to repeat this mission, but I'm really going to try to avoid spending points just for things that benefit this mission.īest of luck don't get left behind! Let me know if you make it! ![]() ![]() I started off kind of leisurely because I didn't see that little snag. I've probably cut it too close at this point, with the loss of the computer and all. I already have enough leather and fur just from normal game play. If I set up a couple of ovens, I'm hoping I can knock out a ton of BBQ before it starts to spoil. They sure don't grow that fast when I stand around watching them! If I can get everything into the produce ship, I'll head to my base at the entrance to the arctic biome (right at the mouth, don't go in too far) for some wolf hunting. Seriously? Wasn't gone more than about 15 minutes. Just ran up real quick and right back and when I returned, all my plots had rotted. That happened once while I took a run to the meat ship. Set your spawn point in case you die and you're set for a grind.įor now, I've set up about 40 planters and I'm going to hang out at the produce ship while crops grow so I don't lose them to spoilage. It's still a useful base for hunting wolves, however, because there are like 3 packs of 6+ hanging out in the area and you can get tons of meat/fur/leather in no time. I initially established that base because it looked like the meat ship might be up that way, but then everything curved around and it became obvious that wasn't the case. I established a large base for work benches at the "produce ship", and a small base (4x4) for shelter, storage, and skipping the night at both the "meat ship" and a halfway point where the map heads up an alley north into an arctic biome. Well, I got screwed because my computer crashed and I lost 4 days of game play, but I'm going to keep trying. The hunter should be traveling to and from the other base picking up crops as they find them If you have three people dedicated to these roles, this mission becomes decently profitable and not a colossal waste of time Have a dedicated farmer and progressionist (basically, base builder) Have a dedicated sulfer miner who seeks out sulfure for more crop plots Have a dedicated hunter who build a bunch of fireplaces near the pod to process meat. I think these missions can be worth it if everyone is on their game But don't worry about decay.īad Tattoo Birthday Man - Today at 8:32 AM In summary: aggressively pursue on crop at a time.Įdit: The only thing you can't do is remove it entirely, that will un-check the objective. you can fucking remove it entirely, it makes no difference. Once an objective is met, it doesn't matter how much of that crop or material is in the pod.Whatever plots you have left over, split evenly between the remaining crops, to offset decay Because of decay, focus on one crop at a time, starting with the smallest requirement. The most efficient way to do this mission (which is not very efficient):ġ: Always be crop plottin'.
